# Campaign calculator

> Attach spend to any slice of your traffic and get cost per lead, hot lead, and acquisition.

The campaign calculator answers "what did this campaign cost me per result?". You define a slice of traffic, enter what you spent on it, and Dava computes the cost metrics from your tracked visits — even when your UTM tagging is incomplete.

## Add a calculation

Click **Add Calculation**. The dialog has two tabs for defining the slice of traffic, plus the spend fields below them:

* **By URL** — pick one of your existing [mappings](/domains/url-mappings) from a dropdown. Simplest option when the campaign already has a dedicated tracked URL.
* **By filters** — combine any of **Campaign name / Source / Medium / Platform / Keyword**, each a dropdown of every distinct value seen across your account's traffic (not limited to your earlier calculations). Leave everything blank to slice the whole account.

There's no Domain field — a slice is account-wide by design, spanning every domain in your workspace.

Below the tabs:

* **Total spend** (required) — what you spent on this slice.
* **Start and end date** (required) — the period the spend covers.

## Reading the results

Each calculation is a row in the results table:

| Column | Meaning |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Cold Leads | Tracked page views matching the slice |
| CPCL | Spend ÷ cold leads |
| Hot Leads | Visitors who reached a [Hot Lead page or event](/tracking/funnel-and-goals) |
| CPHL | Spend ÷ hot leads |
| Conversion | Visitors who converted (success page, matching event, or webhook) |
| CPCV | Spend ÷ conversions — the headline number |

Click any column header to sort. The **Actions** column has an Edit (pencil) button, a View journey breakdown (line-chart icon) that drills into the per-person time-to-convert for that slice, and Delete.

## Results stay fresh automatically

Saved rows store your inputs — the metrics are recomputed from live data every time you open the page. There's no refresh button because there's nothing stale: late-arriving webhook conversions and edits to your [funnel goals](/tracking/funnel-and-goals) are reflected the next time you look.

## Changing a calculation

Click the **Edit** button (pencil icon) on a row to open it pre-filled in the same By URL / By filters dialog and update its filters, spend, or dates in place — no need to delete and recreate it.
